This is Hardcore..

I have now been training for 2 1/2 weeks and I feel great. I am a bit tired but I love training with a purpose, otherwise I would not get my lazy butt to the gym. Yesterday we ran hills at Ruby Hill, and it was HARDCORE. I don't think I have EVER ran like that. Heck, I've never even ran hills, period.

That workout almost made me vomit. It was intense. It probably was not a good idea to drink tea during class, right before group training. Note to self, don't do that. I also forgot my gloves and my hat and it was cold. So I learned a good lesson. I was sad at first because I was one of the last ones to complete my hills cycle, but then I remember that I am not training to compete against anyone but myself and that this is a personal challenge.

Coach, told me to only do 4 laps/cycles of hills, but I completed 7 and I was thrilled. I was proud of myself for pushing myself and for doing so enthusiastically without giving up.

I am excited for what is yet to come, but incredibly nervous. The task seems so daunting but exciting.
