Jazmin and Liz's Team In Training home page.

We are training to participate in our first Triathlon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma, myeloma and cancer from taking more lives.

We decided to commit to this event in honor of our Tia Marta, Tia Adela and my Tia Elva. All who have suffered and lost their battle to cancer. This was an extremely difficult time for us and We wanted to remember them and also to shed light on Cancer awareness in the Latino Community.

About 47,900 new cancer cases in men and 51,000 cases in women are expected to be diagnosed. Among Hispanics/Latinos in 2010. Hispanics/Latinos have higher incidence and mortality ratesfor acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) than non-Hispanic/Latino whites

Jazmin has completed several 5Ks, 10Ks and one half marathon and now we are both completing our first triathlon in honor of our family and all individuals who are battling blood cancers and any other cancers! These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure
